Case Study – Cruse Herts Analysis stage • Organisation were offered the service “unsure at outset what benefit might be” • Initial contact and analysis done with only paid staff member – the administrator • “advisor had knowledge of our service sector and issues facing our organisation…enabled us to work together well and really focus on where changes were needed. “ • “at initial discussions it was evident…..would be beneficial to have strategic planning day for management committee to give them time to re-assess the whole service”

  9. Case Study – Cruse Herts Action plan - using advisors time • “Advisor suggested that planning day might benefit from external facilitator….advised she would be able to do this if we thought it helpful. “ • “We were happy to use advisor’s time to do this rather than bringing in someone who didn’t have the knowledge which had been acquired through our initial discussions, this enabled continuity and saved time.”

  10. Case Study – Cruse Herts Outcomes of planning day • Reassess strategic plan • Review whole service delivery • Realisation management committee over involved in service delivery - not focussing on the strategy • Flat structure/Dual roles -lack of accountability and conflicts of interest. “Without the A&G service we may not have progressed as quickly.”

  15. PTLLS training “tutor was engaging, interesting and motivating, an excellent example of ‘how to’ – a great role model” “course content allowed us to experience the position of being a learner and apply that to my own teaching practice”

  16. PTLLS training “how to assess individual learner needs in a group and adapt delivery of material accordingly” “preparation of detailed lesson plans has been useful, to think of the purpose of the session and how learners will engage with material”
