On January 25, 2011, Takao Sakaguchi reported successful maintenance efforts on the VTX strip-pixel detector, fixing the west half during the last access with approximately 10 hours of work. The second half is scheduled for next week. Current issues include an incomplete heater repair in the gas mixing house and persistent gas mixing problems on chilling days, which require assistance. Adjustments to gas flow are scheduled for access tomorrow. Most subsystems are timed, with ongoing scans for the newly installed detector and final tuning of the ZDC HV.

PHENIX Status, 1/25/11 Takao Sakaguchi • Succeeded to fix west half of VTX strip-pixel detector in the last access • Thank you for providing us ~10 hours on the last maintenance day • Another half will be treated next week. • Heater in gas mixing house is not completely fixed yet. Only temporary heater is installed • On chilling days, we still have problem in gas mixing. Need help. • Also, the gas flow level should be adjusted in the access tomorrow • Most of subsystems got timed in last night • Detail timing scan is on-going for newly installed detector (Muon trigger, then RPC) • ZDC HV in final tuning • We would still like to make maximum use of access opportunities for tune-up • Including tunnel access.
