  1. Hydropower By Brett K., Nelson F., and Alex L.

  2. This is a diagram of a dam showing how to generate hydropower What is your renewable resource? Our renewable resource is hydropower. What is hydropower? Water flows through a pipe, then pushes and turns a blade in a turbine to spin a generator to produce electricity.

  3. What trends do they use in conservation in a chosen area? In Wisconsin they use dams (a structure that holds the water back so they can use it to make the power)

  4. What are scientists experimenting within this field? One thing they are doing is they are experimenting with tidal power which would harness the strong currents that push and pull the ocean’s tide so we can use it for even more hydropower.

  5. How can people apply these ideas for energy conservation? People can ask their government to build a near by dam in a river to power houses. This will allow you switch to hydropower in your home. Generators in the Hoover Dam

  6. Predict how these energy needs will be affected in the future? As oil prices go up people will use hydropower. It does not cost a lot for maintenance or operation and uses no fuel. It has 50% less cost than nuclear and fossil fuels and 25% less than natural gas.
