SM&L TVET implementation School Management & Leadership (SM&L) is implemented in TVET by: • National level: Workforce Development Authority (WDA) and • Provincial level: Integrated Polytechnic Regional Centre (IPRC) in the Southern Province • 17 pilots schools • In collaboration with Belgian TVET Common Program (APEFE, BTC and VVOB).

  3. TVET SM&L & CBT experimentation • In the framework of the experimentation of the new Competence Based Training TVET program; • A key component to increase quality in this implementation and to ensure accreditation of schools

Peer-to-peerlearning II • Introduction to the thematic (practice & theory) • Intervision method is used: • Each School Manager outlines an issue currently experiencedon the related thematic • One issue is selected • After having clarified this issue, each member of the group proposes one solution to the problem • The one who presented the problem, selects the best proposed solution • Follow-up of the problem resolution each next session • Sharing experiences and Lessons learned

Other achieved results in pilot schools We have also achieved these outcomes: • Setting up & capacity building of Management Committee • Elaboration & implementation of school development and strategic plan ; • Definition & implementation of staff capacity development plan; • Development of school budget planning (+software); • Development of income generating projects (i.e. production and training units). • ....

  8. Challenges • Few involvement of districts and sectors in the TVET implementation and in the support of Peer Learning implementation • Lack of material and financial resources to sustain this peer learning dynamic
