Summary GGUS tickets of concern to the experiments for follow up at today’s meeting (mostly network): • ATLAS: • CNAF-BNL GGUS:61440 (slow transfers) Was also presented at this meeting last month! • BNL-NDGF GGUS:61942 network problem (timeouts) • NDGF-RAL GGUS:61306 network problem, solved but cross-referenced. Traced down to a defective card on the LHCOPN router at CERN. • BNL-NDGF GGUS:62287 also network and cross-referenced. • CMS: GGUS:61706Maradona error on the CERN CE • Details follow…

Conclusions this week • Our current practice, i.e. notifying one of the 2 sites involved in a case of network problem, is correct. • The issue is who feels responsible for finding a solution to network problems between sites. • A network ‘authority’ should be involved in all relevant tickets, no matter which physical infrastructure is used. • There is a GGUS Support Unit NetworkOperations but seems in-effective in its current ‘incarnation’. No traffic and no WLCG supporter involved. Details in savannah support #115213. Dimou M.
