The 9/11 Attacks: A Timeline of the Fateful Flights and Their Impact

On September 11, 2001, America faced a series of coordinated terrorist attacks. The first was American Airlines Flight 11, hijacked shortly after takeoff from Boston Logan Airport, heading for Los Angeles. Just moments later, United Airlines Flight 175 was seized and crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. American Airlines Flight 77 then struck the Pentagon. Finally, United Airlines Flight 93, en route to San Francisco, was diverted by courageous passengers, leading to its crash in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, instead of another target. This tragic event forever changed the United States and the world.
