  1. Starter Activity You have been given two calculations. Can you spot the mistakes and correct them?

  6. The Box Method 54.2 x 32.3 = Draw this grid on your mini whiteboards. Fill in any boxes that you can. Don’t worry if you can’t do all of them.

  7. Using a multiplication square to multiply6 x 8 = 48 Go down the column until you reach 8 sixes Find the 6 x table

  8. What level can I work at? Level 2 I can work out multiplication sums up to 10 x 10. Level 3 I can multiply two digit numbers by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10. Level 4 I can multiply two digit whole numbers by a single digit whole digit number. Level 5 I can multiply two digit numbers by three digit numbers. Level 6 I can multiply decimal numbers.

  9. Choose an appropriate level of challenge to start on. You do not have to complete all of the questions for each level before moving on. Answer all the questions in your book. Show all your working out.
