Enhancing Seasonal and Decadal Prediction through Collaborative Climate Experiments

This document outlines the collaborative efforts of various research institutions and projects under the EU ENSEMBLES initiative, focusing on understanding and improving seasonal and decadal climate predictions. Participating groups include NOAA-NCEP, NASA-GMAO, and others engaged in numerous numerical experiments such as GEWEX and SPARC. The aim is to evaluate seasonal prediction skill, assess troposphere-stratosphere interactions, and enhance sea-ice predictability to foster better climate forecasting. These efforts strive to advance the science of climate prediction and inform decision-making for climate-sensitive sectors.
