  2. Introduction and Objective Are you looking for an executive to help your firm to reach newer heights? If yes, then end your search by taking part in the next ICAI's Exclusively Structured Placement Programme for newly qualified Chartered Accountants scheduled in May, 2009 at eleven centres across India viz., Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, and Pune. The entire process of ICAI Placement Programme takes place online through the ICAI Placement Portal namely www.cmii.icai.org .

  3. Objectives a. To develop employment opportunities for newly Qualified Chartered Accountants b. To enable prospective employers to interact and explore the possibility of taking up employment careers in various Small & Medium Chartered Accountancy Firms. c. To provide the platform to Small & Medium Chartered Accountancy Firms to recruit Chartered Accountants under the one roof in a cost effective way.

  4. Eligibility of Candidates The candidates: • who have qualified in CA final examination held in November 2008. (ii) or who have qualified CA Final Examination held in May 2008 but were unable to participate in Campus Placement Programme during Aug-Sep, 2008.

In its endeavor to provide quality Accounting, Finance, Tax, Audit and Management Consultancypersonnel to Small and Medium sized Chartered Accountancy Firms and to provide a platform to the newly qualified Chartered Accountants, CMII would be conducting a Campus Placement Programme: Schedule of Campus Placement Programme

  6. Participation Fees* *Plus applicable Service Tax @ 10.3% ** Day/Slot will be allotted based on First Come First Serve Basis and Number of Jobs offered.

Indicative Procedure of Conducting Campus Interviewfor CA Firms • Register on www.cmii.icai.org • Login as a Registered Company and fill the details asked for • Get in touch with the CMII SecretariatPlacements Desk at (011) 30110450 or at placements@icai.org to get the date(s) and time slot(s) for individual centres • Remit the Participation fee for Participating in the Placements Programme at Head Office, New Delhi only • Access to the Database of candidates shall be allowed by the CMII Secretariat after the receipt of participation fee. • Mark the Shortlist of the candidates Online. • Candidates shall be able to view the Shortlists Online. • Written test if any shall be conducted by the firms only before the start of the Campus Placement Programme at a particular centre on a given date. • List of Selected Candidates should be announced on the same day of interview. • Firms should not interact directly with candidates for collecting hardcopies of Bio data etc.

Cont.. • Correspondence with the recruiting entities/ students shall be done via e-mail only. • A candidate can appear for only Five interviews irrespective of the fact that he/she is shortlisted by several organisation but the moment he is offered job by any organisation and is accepted by him/her in writing then the candidate will not be permitted to attend the rest of the campus interviews. • Candidates shall be allowed to opt for only one centre out of the five bigger centres with a choice to choose one smaller centre. • The timings for the interviews at all days shall be from 9 AM to 7:30 PM. Two hours timeslot per opening will be given to Companies/Firm subject to maximum of one day slot. • Firms shall not ask for filling up of any type of bond for joining their organisations. If any company requires bond with the candidates, then they must specify in advance the: a. Period of the bond b. The Amount of the Bond

Cont.. • It's mandatory for firms participating in Campus Placement Programme May 2009 to give offer letter to the selected candidates in writing on the same date of Interview itself. • Shortlisting by individual recruiting entities should be restricted to maximum Fifteen times of the number of vacancies in that particular organization, which are expected to be filled up from a particular Campus Placement Programme centre. • The Chartered Accountancy firms have to offer the following minimum packages to the Newly Qualified Chartered accountants in the campus interviews as follows: (i) Bigger Centres : Rs. 2,75,000/- (ii) Smaller Centres: Rs. 2,40,000/- • Once the access of the database has been provided to the companies, the participation fee shall neither be refunded nor adjusted under any circumstances.

  11. Indicative guidelines for Candidates: A candidate can appear for only Five interviews irrespective of the fact that he/she is short listed by several Chartered Accountancy Firms but at the moment he is offered job by any CA firm and is accepted by him/her in writing then the candidate will not be permitted to attend the rest of the campus interviews. Dress Code as prescribed and approved by the Council for the Members of ICAI has been made mandatory for attending the Campus Placement Programme Exclusively Structured for Small & Medium Chartered Accountancy Firm.
