The Youth Development B.A. program at Rhode Island College prepares students to become skilled youth workers capable of positively impacting the lives of young people. Launched in 2012, the program focuses on practical experiences, with a seminar in the fall and internships in the spring. Students engage with the community through outreach and gain valuable networking opportunities. History • 2008: Working group (RIASPA, PASA, CHILDSPAN, Kids Klub and after-school education consultants, RIC representatives) identified key components of a B.A. program. • Summer 2012: BOG Approval • Fall 2012: Enrollment began. • December 2013: 50+ declared majors
