  1. Spectrometer Solenoid Fabrication Update • Vendor still expects to complete fabrication of first magnet before Christmas • Unit #1 cold mass assembly is ready to install in vacuum vessel, cold mass supp’ts load tested • Other Unit #1 progress: vacuum vessel, thermal shield and support stands fabrication complete • Winding of 2nd magnet including banding complete • Installation of quench protection system and instrumentation in 2nd magnet is under way • Cryocooler testing conducted by Bert Wang and Mike Green is to be complete this week
