Maths Select one task to complete: Using a calculator practise skip counting for 5 minutes. Record the answers in your book. What patterns do you notice? Try with a different number. Explore addition and subtraction by logging into Mathletics and using Rainforest Maths. Select Grade 2 and choose ‘addition’ and ‘subtraction‘ activities. See if you can improve your mental maths skills by having a ‘Red Hot Go’ at these activities. http://www.mathletics.com.au/ • Spelling • Choose activities from the Term 2 Super Star Spelling Tasks to learn your spelling words. • My Spelling Words • are in my diary (or my lunch box if I forgot my diary on Monday!) • Remember spelling words are tested each MONDAY! Personal Learning Select one task to complete: Express yourself – Be creative and decorate your Homework Book. Place stickers, pictures, words and photos that represent you. Remember to be creative and make sure your decorations don’t fall off. Have a think about out topic ‘Healthy Minds and Bodies’. Write down some questions you would like to explore in class this term. Some examples to get you started are: How much blood do we have in our bodies? Why is exercise important?
