  2. What is a color scheme? Color schemes consist of groups of colors that work harmoniously together and are appealing to the eye when placed together. Types: • Monochromatic • Analogous • Complementary • Triadic

  3. Monochromatic • The colors used in this scheme are all derived from the same base color. • Examples: Green Orange Blue

  4. Analogous • All of the colors used in this scheme consist of adjacent colors. • Examples: Red Yellow Blue

  5. Complementary • Complementary color schemes consist of complementary colors, or colors that are across from each other on the color wheel. • Examples Red/Green Yellow/Violet Blue/Orange

  6. Triadic • This color scheme consists of colors that are placed 120 degrees from each other on the color wheel. • Examples: Yellow-Green/Red-Orange/Blue-Violet Red/Yellow/Blue Orange/Green/Violet
