Density is the amount of “junk” something has in it. • So…..Just by looking at the super ball, beach ball and the basketball, which would be more dense?
Okay, so what really is density? • Density relates to how much mass of a material is in a given amount of volume (density = mass/volume). • Who was the first to figure out Density? • Archimedes
Volume • In science, we usually measure volume in Graduated Cylinders or beakers. • Volume is the amount of space something takes up.
