  3. Attention getters Teacher asks: “READY TO ROCK?”Students respond: “READY  TO ROLL” Teachers asks: “READY SET?”Students respond: “YOU BET! Teacher says: “WHEN I SAY PEACE”...."YOU SAY QUIET"….."PEACE"Students respond: “QUIET!” Teacher says: "HEADS UP"  Students respond: “ACTIVELY LISTEN" Teacher asks: “READY TO LISTEN?”Students respond: “READY TO LEARN!” Teacher says: “QUIET ON THE SET”Students respond: “ACTION!” Teacher says: “Hocus Pocus”  Students respond: “Everybody focus!

  4. HAND GESTURE When (TEACHER) raise a closed "FIST" STUDENTS WILL  • STOP  TALKING • STOP ACTIVITY • ACTIVELY LISTEN • FOCUS ATTENTION ON MS.

  5. HAND GESTURE When I (TEACHER) raise an “OPEN HAND” STUDENTS WILL: USE THEIR INSIDE VOICE BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO LOUD. CONTINUE WORKING AND COMPLETE CLASS ASSIGNMENTS

  6. TESTING RULES • NO  CELLPHONES • NO   AIRPODS - HEADPHONES • NO   TALKING DURING   TESTING • NO   TALKING UNTIL  ALL STUDENTS ARE FINISHED TESTING • YOU COMPLETE TESTING, PLEASE SIT QUIETLY UNTIL ALL TESTING IS COMPLETE • ALL ASSESSMENTS WILL BE TIMED

BASIC CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS • RESPECT   YOUR   TEACHER, ALL  ADULTS, OTHER STUDENTS,  YOURSELF,  & YOUR FAMILY • DO NOT RUN, WALK OR STAND AROUND IN MY ROOM  • REMAIN SEATED • RAISE  YOUR HAND FOR ANYTHING • NO RESTROOM UNTIL 20 MINUTES HAVE PASSED AFTER ENTERING. DO NOT ASK!!!  • YOU ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE, BE ENGAGED, AND COMPLETE ALL CLASSWORK

  8. BASIC CLASS PROCEDURES CONTINUED... • NO CELLPHONES DURING INSTRUCTION • NO AIRPODS, HEADSETS, EARPHONES DURING INSTRUCTION  • NO USE OF INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE OR WORDS • NO RUDE, DEMEANING REMARKS, LANGUAGE , COMMENTS  TOWARD YOUR TEACHER, ALL ADULTS, OR CLASSMATES

  9. Take away  Classroom management is extremely important to ensure a safe and favorable environment for students to learn effectively.
