SESIR Incidents • On school grounds, school transportation, or at off-campus school sponsored events • The most serious offense is the primary SESIR incident. Secondary offenses can be reported as one or more “related elements”. • 365 days/24 hours • Student, Non-Student or Unknown Offenders 2013-14 School Safety and Discipline Data Reporting
SESIR Reporting SESIR incidents are per incident. Report only ONE incident even when there are multiple students involved in the same incident. Discipline actions are per student.

Updated Incident Definitions/Examples:Battery __ _____ BATTERY (physical attack/harm) The physical use of force or violence by an individual against another. The attack must be serious enough to warrant consulting law enforcement orandresult in moreserious bodily harm injury. (To distinguish from Fighting, report an incident as Battery only when the force or violence is carried out against a person who is not fighting back.) 2013-14 School Safety and Discipline Data Reporting
Updated Incident Definitions/Examples:Drug Use/Possession _______________________ Drug Use/Possession Excluding Alcohol (illegal drug possession or use) The use or possession of any drug, narcotic, controlled substance, or any substance when used for hallucinogenic purposes chemical intoxication.
