  2. Kingdom Attitudes (5:3-12) You are Blessed and Spiritually Healthy when: You realize you need GOD: the poor in spirit g theirs is the kingdom of heaven You experience Godly SORROW: those who mourn g shall be comforted You surrender CONTROL to God: the meek g shall inherit the earth

Kingdom Attitudes (5:3-12) You are Blessed and Spiritually Healthy when: You long to KNOW and LIVE for God who hunger and thirst for righteousness g shall be filled You give God’s MERCY to others the merciful g shall obtain mercy Your MIND and your Heart are uncontaminated pure in heart g see God

  4. Kingdom Attitudes (5:3-12) You are Blessed and Spiritually Healthy when: You help others live in PEACE peacemakers g called sons of God You are MISTREATED because you belongto Jesus who are persecuted for righteousness…for My sake g great is your reward in heaven

  5. Kingdom Influence (5:13-16) Spiritually Healthy People Bless Others You are the SALT of the earth – You REPRESENT Jesus to the people around you. You are the LIGHT of the world – You REFLECT the heart of Jesus by the way you live your life.

  6. Kingdom Influence (5:13-16) Jesus Calls You to a Higher Standard of Kingdom Living! For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. – Matthew 5:20

Kingdom Relationships (5:21-48) You have heard that it was said… But I say to you…. • Guard your heart (don’t harbor anger toward others). • Guard your words (don’t speak ill of others). • When relationships are broken, seek reconciliation. • Marriage is sacred -- stay faithful to your spouse. • Don’t make empty promises. • Go the second mile. • Love your enemies.

  8. In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you. – Matthew 5:48 (The Message)

  9. Kingdom Motives (6:1-18) Give generously but not to be recognized publicly. Pray regularly but not to impress others.

  10. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts; As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen. - Matthew 6:9-13

  11. Kingdom Motives (6:1-18) Give generously but not to be recognized publicly. Pray regularly but not to impress others. Fast purposefully but don’t draw attention to yourself.

  12. Kingdom Finances (6:19-34) Invest Eternally Lay up for yourself treasure in heaven. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. You cannot serve God and money. Don’t Worry Your heavenly Father knows you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.

  13. Seek First the Kingdom of God: Give God: The First Part of Every Day The First Day of Every Week The First 10% of Every Paycheck The First Consideration in Every Decision

  14. Kingdom Living (7:1-29) Three Charges: 1. Don’t become critical and judgmental of others and use My Words to justify it. (7:1-6) 2. Keep on asking, seeking and knocking on the door of Kingdom Living. (7:7-11) 3. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” (7:12)

  15. Kingdom Living (7:1-29) Three Tests: 1. The Test of the Narrow Road (7:13-14) 2. The Test of Spiritual Fruit (7:15-20) 3. The Test of Obedience (7:21-27)
