Korea-Russia Far East & Siberia Business Forum Korea-Russia Economic Cooperation: Current Status Current Status ·Bilateral relations is elevated to a new level, following approx. 20 bilateral summits since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea an Russia. ·2009 Trade Volume (2009): U$9.98 billion (Exports: 4.19 billion Imports: 5.79 billion ) ·Economic cooperation is active in the areas of trade & investment, energy & resources as well as industrial technology. Limitations ·Cooperation is concentrated in Moscow and part of the Russian Far East & Siberia region. ※Moscow (46%), the Russian Far East & Siberia (35.4%) ·Investment is confined to one-off projects for a few companies only. Nationwide Expansion is Desired
