  1. Spain

  2. Houses and flats • In Llerena people live in small white houses • Because of the law they can‘t colour them with any colour except white • Each member of the family usually has their own room • Spain is a hot country so they try to keep cold inside the houses • We felt very comfortable in their homes

  3. The family members • The family consists of parents and from 1 to 3 children • They spend lots of time together • Their relationships are very close and friendly • Parents take care of their children and do the most of the housework

  4. Food • We had the opportunity to try various traditional dishes like tortilla, gazpacho or paella • They have lunch at home and sometimes they go to restaurants • Spanish cuisine contains more fish than the Slovak one

  5. Hospitality • We like the way they behaved towards us and also each other • They are very open, friendly, easy-going and talkative • Although some parents couldn‘t speak English they looked for the way how to talk to us (e.g. Google translator, gestures,...)

  6. Free-time • They spend their free time with thefamily and friends • They like being together, going to discos or trips and having fun • In contrast with the Slovaks they don‘t hurry so much and they always find time for their friends
