Degraded Image

This project involves a unique artistic process using printed images and a Hulk theme. Starting by printing two images for variety, I meticulously cut and color the pictures, focusing on faces to transfer onto doll bodies. A significant moment is capturing my face on a Hulk doll, accompanied by a creatively edited image hung on the ceiling. Despite printing challenges leading to an eerie blue tint, I embrace this aesthetic. The final steps include crafting words that reflect my fascination with the Hulk's strength, culminating in a layered collage that visually narrates my journey.

  3. Step 1- Print Image I printed two images just in case I wanted to change my process.

  4. Step 2- Cut Picture out

  5. Step 3- Color on Picture

  6. Step 4- Cut our heads out

  7. Step 5- Put faces on dolls

  8. Step 5b- Take picture of the hulk with my face on it I couldn’t come up with an idea for both dolls so I just decided to use the hulk for the rest of the sequence.

  9. Step 6- Print out picture I took of the Hulk The colors turned out way off. But I kind of liked the bluish tinge.

  10. Step 7- Put the picture on the ceiling

  11. Step 8- Take this picture In this image, I’m wearing a hulk mask, looking at the hulk doll with my face on it with the last printed image on the ceiling above me.

  12. Step 9- Edit the image with Fragment App

  13. Step 10- Print out the edited image At this point, my printer was almost out of color ink so it was very blue and creepy looking.

  14. Step 11- Fold up the picture to get a wrinkled effect

  15. Step 12- Write on printed picture I chose these words because I’ve always liked the Hulk and wondered what it’s like to be super strong like him.

  16. Step 13- Cut out words from picture and paste on another paper

  17. Step 14- Write on blank spaces between pasted sheets of paper

  18. From this.. …to this!
