Purpose Of Music Videos • Target Audience most music videos have a general audience they are trying to reach out too and this is all depending on the artist doing the video or what kind of director they are working with, artist use music video as a way to exhibit their work. It makes the the income for the record label higher by getting paid the same amount of money for each video and repeating the process every time the video is aired For Example most videos will show the band or the Artist in the best way possible to try and reach out to their target audience this is promotion in its self because they trying to reach out to people who can relate to them.

  3. Purpose of music 2 An example of someone with a huge fan base is Jay Z, this is because he appeals to a wide variety of people from all over the world . This is what record labels like, to have someone who is able to generate a lot of profit so much that he was able to create his own label and become CEO of Def Jam Recordings and one of three owners of Roc-A-Fella Records .Basically making them lots of money his fan base and audience actually influence most of the music video he produces because of him being from the streets and them knowing what he went through ,in many cases, the video will be made around the fans so that it will be fitted more towards them

  4. Expansion of the Industry • Originally the videos where used to promote the artists and the bands without them having to go out and tour all the time for each song they where promoting. The first 24 hour music video channel was called MTV Ever since the launch of MTV many other channels have started such as MTV Base which shows mainly urban and commercial songs as well as R&B and Smash Hits.
