culture • Guatemala is rich in culture. Take 21 different indigenous Mayan populations, mix that with Spanish and European populations and influence and you get a very complex and multi-faced national culture.
clothing • After many centuries the Mayan people still make up a majority of the populations in Guatemala, and their fabulously colored traditional clothing can be seen throughout the country.
Tikal • Tikal is is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban CENTRES of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. It is located in the archaeological region of the Petén Basin in what is now northern Guatemala.
birds • The Resplendent Quetzal is a bird in the trogon family. It is found from southern Mexico to western Panama unlike the other quetzals of the genus Pharomachrus which are found In South America and eastern Panama.
