  1. Mr. Hughes: Social Studies (Standard 8.1) Directions: Imagine you are a member of the Committee of Correspondence in your colony. The Sons of Liberty and Daughters of Liberty have asked you to create a flyer or poster to recruit people to attend a secret meeting to discuss and protest British policies under King George III. Your flyer must Include a date, meeting time and place, and specific issues that need to be addressed. Note: You are inviting your fellow colonists to a rally or “protest” meeting. Make sure your flyer includes specific complaints or grievances that you have against the King. You may include pictures & illustrations. Remember, you are trying to persuade people to attend. Describe what kinds of activities you have planned. Calling all Patriots! Hear ye, Hear ye!
