  3. Grading • Daily Assignments • Tests • Projects • Written article reviews Grading scale is listed in handbook

  4. Assignments • Students are responsible to keep track: • of their assignments • if they have gotten credit

  5. Homework • If you can not get the assignments done by the due date you may: • work at home Come before school • stay after school work during study hall

  6. Portfolio You will develop a portfolio including: • your best work from the semester. • It will take the place of your final semester exam grade. • It is your responsibility to develop it. • We will discuss detail next week.

  7. Games No games until work is done - including portfolio work!

  8. Headphones & CDs No headphones No music **unless working on a multimedia project

  9. Restroom • You may use the restroom after individual class work has started - not during class discussion and/or lecture.

  10. Extra Help • If you need extra help - ASK!! • I am available before and after school

  11. Guidelines • Use only your account on the server • You are responsible for equipment broken • You may NOT download or upload software • You need to sign and return an acceptable use policy for the Internet and Mrs. Williams’ class by August 27– tomorrow. All infractions will be handled according to school policy.

  13. Ask “3” before you ask me Before you ask me a question ask at least 3 other people. I will ask you who you consulted.

  14. Detentions I will only give detentions after school. If you have a conflict with this - don’t earn one!

  15. Computer Lab Rules 1. No food or beverages in the computer lab.

  16. 2. Respect others * listen when others are talking * do not yell to get the teachers’ attention

  17. Respect - Cont... *no put downs/name calling *do not talk during announcements

  18. 3. Remain Seated *do not line up by the door *stay in your seat during class - except to turn in assignments.

  19. 4. Raise hand Raise your hand to get the teacher’s attention - do not yell.

  20. 5. Be honest - do your own work.

  21. 6. Use and touch only your assigned computer and account.

  22. Consequences 1. Warning • Teacher detention - 15 min. • 2nd teacher detention and call home 4. Written up , sent to SMR and call home 5. Sent directly to the principal
