Status ACAREnew • ACARE blijft als “merknaam” bestaan. • ACARE staat nu voorAdvisory Council for Aviation Research and innovation in Europe • Op Le Bourget is op 21 juni ACAREnew gelanceerd door de EU Commissaris voor Transport • De GA is daar voor de eerste maal bijeengekomen • Grote belangstelling van ongeveer 100 deelnemers • GA heeft ingestemd met de Terms of Reference van ACAREnew en de opdracht gegeven een SRIA op te stellen in lijn met Flightpath 2050 • Idee is deze SRIA op Farnborough 2012 (of de ILA 2012) te presenteren • In November 2011 is de volgende GA gepland

Vertegenwoordigers met NL achtergrond in ACAREnew General Assembly • Michel Peters – directeur NLR, namens EREA • Pieter Elbers – COO KLM • ??? – Schiphol Group (tbc) • Wim Pasteuning – Fokker Technologies (via ASD, tbc) • ??? – NL overheid Opmerking: - Op dit moment zijn dit kandidaten, die nog niet formeel zijn benoemd

Issues / Hoe verder • Transitie van Acare oud naar Acare nieuw • IT vergadering 30/6 heeft de huidige ACARE werkgroepen opgedragen een overdrachtsdocument op te stellen • Resultaten / documenten uit het verleden • Aanbevelingen naar de toekomst / open acties • Lijst betrokkenen • Formele overdracht in november dit jaar • ACARE oud draagt stukken dan over aan GA van ACAREnew • 12 juli as vergadert nieuwe stuurgroep • Kickoff van de werkgroepen fase • Rol voor SG leden om kandidaten aan te dragen??

Issues / Hoe verder • Nederlandse deelname in de werkgroepen • Verzoek voor deelnemers loopt naar verwachting ook via de Associaties (ASD, IATA, ACI ...) en wellicht de lidstaten • Een Nederlandse coordinatie groep lijkt een noodzaak • 11 juli as vergadering van NL-betrokkenen in GA en SG • Suggesties en vragen voorlopig via AgentschapNL – Luchtvaart (GKL)

Achtergrond • Initiatief van de directeur van Clean Sky • Commissie (DG Move / DG RTDI), Industrie, Onderzoeksinstellingen, lidstaten betrokken • Idee is verder te bouwen op resultaten van Clean Sky en evaluatie 2010 • Bedoeling is advies te geven aan Commissie om nieuw JTI onder CSF / Horizons 2020 te starten • Nog veel discussie over inhoud, aanpak enz. • Onderwerp waarover wordt gesproken is Aircraft and their interaction with the global ATS to maximize the operational efficiency to the benefit of passenger, environment and competitiveness

Status • Kritiekpunten • Onvoldoende aansluiting bij politieke realiteit • Transport / Operationele aspect ontbreekt • Teveel doorzetten van Clean Sky 1 • Relatie met FP2050 beperkt • Alternatief is een JTI dat de voorlopige structuur van het CSF volgt en bestaat uit drie pilaren • Air Transport to the benefit of pax & environment [societal challenges] • Aircraft and its interaction with ATS [competitiveness] • Frontier research to the benefit of society • NL visie?
