What is the Best Option for VR? • Variable rate is efficient • Liquid System’s goal is to be as precise as possible • More precise with liquids • Liquids are the easier to control • In-furrow is most efficient fertilization system
What is it? • In-Furrow liquid injection system • Fertilizer, Trace Elements, Pesticide, ect. • Pump is built to change rates quickly • Computer controlled • Green Star, Ag Leader, Trimble
Set-Up • Pump and Control Module attached to air cart or Planter • Pumps liquid from tank to nozzle • Computer will control rate of spray based on GPS position
Additional Equipment • Additional Pumps • Stacker • Openers • Section Control • Spiker • Additional tanks
Disadvantages • High set-up cost • System plus multiple attachments, equipment, soil test • Have to change application timing
Summary • Effective and efficient system • Has made producers more profitable • Step toward the future
