  3. HYPOTHESIS We think that the lemon will probably have the most electricity because it is very colorful and an acid fruit. Maybe it will explode. Papaya won’t produce electricity because it is so unstable and with so much water. menu

  4. MATERIALS Lemon Orange Tomato Mango Apple Papaya 6 coppernailsorscrewsabout 5cm long 6 zinc nailsorscrewsorgalvanizednailsorscrewsabout 5 cm long 6light bulbswithwiresclassroom Camera Shoebox

  5. PROCEDURES 1.Either roll the fruits on the table gently or squeeze the fruit with your hands gently. DO NOT BREAK THE FRUIT OPEN. You want to get the juice flowing inside the fruits. 2.Put one zinc nail and one copper nail into the fruit. The nail need to be about 2 inches apart. Don’t put the nail into the fruit. 3 Wrap one wire around the zinc nail and wrap the other wire around the zinc nail. 4.See if the light bulb lights up. 5.Try this with each fruit. 6.Write down the results on the chart on the other page.

  8. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS Which fruit produces the most electricity? The lemon. 2. Why? Because it is an acid fruit that has electrolytes. 3. Which fruit produced the least electricity? The apple. 4. Why Wont the fruits light a light bulb? Because we need to have 1.50 volts and the most electricity In the fruits was with .12 volts.
