History of the Park • The Georges River National Park was historically an important rout from Botany Bay to Liverpool. • Georges River National Park was created in 1992 by the Management of a Trust. The Trust licensed sand mining along the shores of the reserve, grassed flats, provided facilities and installed seawalls.
