  2. You broke my heart All I did was love you And you never cared How could you do that to me I still love you And you still don’t care You’re with someone new And I’m going from relationship to relationship I can’t do this anymore I need to get over you I can’t let this take over my life I need to move on I try to move on But you’ve got a hold on me One that’s so strong I just can’t seem to shake you I can’t help but love you I just can’t seem to hate you This is getting old I really need to break your hold “Life After a Break Up” By Kelsey Herp, ‘08 Back to title page

  3. Memories are treasured art That are held in our heart One may fade away Or one might stay When a memory is made Never let it fade In them remember all the chuckles That were once shared, The times you wanted to buckle Yet you didn’t because you cared Never wish one distance Cause then you’ll wish it hindrance Don’t let the broken heart Tera the memories apart For the treasured art Should be held in our heart “Memories” By Nicole Deshaw, ‘06 Back to title page

  4. Photo by Kyle Wright “Anywhere” By Colleen Hammer, ‘07 Lost in the endless crowd, Stuck in the middle, calling out loud For reasons to believe Someone special to need But I can’t find you You’re not out there You don’t care I guess I’ll never find you Anywhere I feel like I’ve searched for so long And look at all the idiots I have found So many sore hearts and spilt tears And it haunted all of my darkest fears I call out to anyone, once more But you’re not there I guess I’ll never find you Anywhere Back to title page

  5. “The Beach” By Angela Paradiso, ‘06 In the world there is not a better place With rays of sun hitting my face With all my toes tucked under the sand With this weather it is never bland The water sparkles bright and blue With cool breeze blowing oh so true Just laying out and getting a tan No one is having as much fun as I am Never again will this happiness I reach At least not until again I return to the beach Back to title page

  6. The sky is dark and always closing in, Closing in on me more and more. Day after day, I wonder when it all ends, When I won’t hurt anymore. But I know that day is in the future, So far in the future it seems I’ll never get there. But I know one day I will, One day far away. And when I get there, I will still hurt. I am scared, Scared for life. The scars will never go away, Just get deeper and hurt even more. They will leave me with a broken life, A life I will hate to live. But I will go on, go on until the end, Go on until I can no longer deal with life, Until I finally die and escape my pain and scars, Escape my memories, my nightmares, My life. Darkened Life By Amanda Langlois, ‘06 Next Poem…

  7. Masks of Life By Amanda Langlois, ‘06 Like the dark night sky masks the moon, My face masks my emotions. Everyday I live with pain, Everyday nobody finds out. I lead a double life, Like Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hyde. I wear a mask, A happy face so nobody knows. I make things look like I’m okay, But inside I’m dying. I’m fading into the wind, Fading into cold nothingness. One day I will no longer live, I will no longer wear the mask. Next Poem…

  8. Our Team By Amanda Langlois, ‘06 Every body’s different, No person is the same. We all have our ideas, Our ways to play the game. No body can be perfect, Nor make or break the team. We all are working together, Like parts of a small machine. We are all one team, We all have the same dream. Next Poem…

  9. At the lowest point in my life, When everything went wrong, There was someone there, Someone waiting to help. They are there for you, And they were there for me. They are unspoken heroes, Just doing there jobs. They are the paramedics, The fire fighters and police. They are the nurses and doctors, The helicopter flyers and first responders. They are everyday heroes, And guardian angels. They’re there at your side, Even at the worst of times. Thanks is not enough to say, Not for the way they were there that day. They made it possible for me to be here, To hang onto the life that I hold so dear. Thank you for being there everyday, Ready to do what you do best. Thank you for saving my life, And the lives of so many others. You truly are guardian angels, Your wings await you at heavens gates. Guardian Angels By Amanda Langlois, ‘06 Next Poem…

  10. The days go by, Each one different than the one before it. Some days are good, Things go as planned. Some days are bad, The pain and memories ripping like claws into my thoughts. They come like lightening, Before you can prepare yourself. The pain hits your heart like a freight train, The memories flood your head like a tidal wave. Your whole day changes, Your sky turns black. You feel like suddenly you’re all alone, That you have no one to help you through. You get cold and rigid, The world closes in on you. The only thing left to do is die, To release your soul from this suffering, From this hell. Unexpected By Amanda Langlois, ‘06 Next Poem…

  11. Summer By Amanda Langlois, ‘06 A blue sky, A sunny day. Its summer, It’s hot. Life is good, All is well. The grass is green, The flowers bright. A cool breeze is blowing, The trees provide a shaded spot. The grass is cool against your skin, The sound of birds fill the wind. A cool glass of lemonade, A crisp apple to eat in the shade. Its summer, It’s nice. Back to title page
