  2. Banzai means: • A Japanese war cry during WWII, meaning “Long live the Emperor”. • A Japanese motivational cry used before wars, and even friendly games of sports such as baseball and football. • A bush that originates from Japan. • 10,000 years of life. • A company that makes children's toys

  3. Some of the battles that banzai charges were used in are: • Battle of Waterloo • Battle of Attu • Battle of Okinawa • Battle of Iwo Jima

  4. The Japanese did banzai charges because/when: • It followed their code of honor • They thought: “It is better to die an honorable man than to live with no honor.” • They ran out of ammo for their weapons.

  5. Battles that the Japanese lost due to banzai charges are: • Battle of Iwo Jima • Battle of Attu

  6. Banzai today. • Banzai is still said today for games and things of that nature. • It is said three times in a row, with whoever is saying it raising their arms.
