The ECO-Asia Clean Development and Climate Program, supported by USAID, focuses on addressing energy challenges and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in six key Asian countries: China, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Since its launch in 2007, the program has fostered partnerships to implement clean energy technologies and increase financing for energy efficiency projects. One notable initiative includes the collaboration with Kerala EMC to establish a State Energy Conservation Fund, aimed at promoting energy-efficient investments and sustainable development in India.
