  2. Copy notes p.303 Nota: Gramtica To express extremes with most adjectives, drop the final vowel and add the ending –ísimo(a). The adjective must agree in gender and number with the noun it modifies. La idea de Rosa es interesantísima.

  3. Copy notes p.303 Nota: Gramtica When the last consonant is c, g, or z spelling changes are required. C-qu rico….riquísimo/riquísima G-gu largo…larguísimo/larguísima Z-c feliz…felicísimo/felicísima

  5. ¿Recuerdas? You have already learned about e ie stem-changing verbs. like pensar.

  6. pensar- to think, to plan • piensopensamos • piensaspensáis • piensapiensan Yo pienso en jugar béisbol hoy. I am planning on playing baseball today. ¿Qué piensas (tu) de la clase de matemáticas? What do you think about the math class?

  7. The verb pedir also has a stem change. The stem alternates between e and i. pedir- to ask for, to order pido pedimos pides pedís pide piden Sofía says: ¿Pido un postre y lo compartimos? Should I order dessert and we’ll share it?

  8. servir- to serve • sirvoservimos • sirvesservís • sirvesirven ¿A qué hora sirven el almuerzo? At what time do they serve lunch? Yo les sirvo la cena a las siete de la noche. I serve them dinner at 7 p.m. El mesero nos sirvelas enchiladas. The waiter serves us enchiladas.

  9. repetir- to repeat repitorepetimos repitesrepetís repiterepiten Yo repito la pregunta a la maestra. I repeat the question to the teacher. Nosotros repetimos las conjugaciones. We repeat the conjugations. La Señora Lear repite las respuestas. Señora Lear repeats the answers.

  10. seguir- to follow, to continue sigoseguimos siguesseguís siguesiguen Yo siempre sigo las direcciones.I always follow directions. Nosotros seguimos la mapa. We follow the map. Sigue por ésta calle por dos cuadras. Continue down this road for two blocks.
