First issue was published in July1999 • Produced by MEXT(STA)/NASDA • as a contribution to the work of CEOS/IGOS • To introduce IGOS and IGOS Partnership widely • 3000 copies printed and distributed: • at IGOS and CEOS related Meetings • to CEOS Newsletter subscribers - with the 13th issue

  3. IGOS Brochure 2. The second edition of the IGOS brochure was published in July 2001 • Revision was made by consensus of the IGOS Partners • Approved by the IGOS-P 8 meeting (June 1) in Paris • 3000 copies were printed. • 500 copies distributed at the IGCO Science Conference in Amsterdam, Netherland • 2500 copies were supplied for wider distribution - CEOS Chair agencies (Plenaries, WGs) - IGOS Partners (50 each)

  4. IGOS Brochure 3. The latest version was published in January 2002 • Reflecting the results of IGOS-P8 in Kyoto: updated the efforts of the IGOS Theme activities • Global Water Cycle Theme - and CEOP as the first component; • Coral Reef as IGOS Sub-theme; Were newly introduced to this revised brochure. • 5000 copies printed and distributed: • To IGOS Partners (150 each) • To CEOS Member Agencies/Organizations • At CSD and Prep-Com II/III • Copies will be provided at coming PrepCom IV

Way Ahead • MEXT/NASDA will revise the IGOS Brochure following the results of this IGOS-P 9 • distribute copies - focused on WSSD 2002 • IGOS Partners to receive copies upon request (misawa@restec.or.jp) • Appreciate Partners cooperation for review and comments for coming version.
