Highlights (Q4/2007) • Currently in Commissioning Phase • System is functioning and we are able to run the system with the MCS. • System senses swing arm configuration and performs the reconcile command and manual trim commands. • All hardware and electronics installed except bypass valves and insulation. • Bypass valves still need to be installed. • Pipe insulation work in progress • Final system and software tests are in progress. • Current Completion Date is February/March, 2008. Slip from Nov 30th due to scarcity of time on telescope. LBT Q4 2007 Engineering Review

Open Issues • Technical • Installation of bypass valves and insulation, and final shake down of PLC software. • Schedule • Telescope time and impact on acceptance tests and any punchlist work. • Financial • None • Resource • Need ETS techs help to complete insulation due to competing priorities of mountain staff. • PLC Programmer’s time needed to complete debugging of software.   4. Progress (Q4/2007) • Procurement • Bypass Valves, Level Sensors, Longer and Flowmeter Cable (Planned 2nd week Nov.) (Completed 1st week of Dec.) • Installation • Insulation (Planned Oct) (Slip to January dependant on ETS help) • Bypass Valves, Level Sensors, and vent lines through cable wrap (Planned Nov) Level sensors and vent lines completed in Dec. Bypass valves will be installed Dec 27th. • Commissioning • Software Tests (Planned Oct ) (Continuing into January) • Commission Level Sensors and Calibrate Overflow Sensors (Planned Nov) (Completed in November.) • Acceptance Tests and Handover (Planned Nov) (Now planned to complete acceptance tests in February/March) • Documentation (Planned Nov) (Complete in January) LBT Q4 2007 Engineering Review
