Photographs, Poems, Pencils and Pluff Mud March 16-18, 2012 North Inlet-Winyah Bay, Georgetown, SC An educator workshop designed to capture the science of the salt marsh through photography, literature and the visual arts. North Inlet, Georgetown, SC Kevin Kurtz, author of A Day in the Salt Marsh, joins nature photographer, Karen Beshears, visual arts teacher, Marie Nichols, and marine educators from South Carolina Sea Grant and North Inlet-Winyah Bay NERR for a workshop designed to capture the science of the salt marsh through art and literature. • What Will You Experience? • Learn about salt marsh ecosystems from regional scientists in the classroom and field. • Develop skills in photography, literature and visual arts to capture the salt marsh. • Combine artistic and science information to use in your classroom! What is the Cost? Registration is $40 and includes all supplies, professional instruction, lodging, and 2 breakfasts/2 lunches/1 dinner. Who Can Apply? Open to ANY South Carolina formal/informal educator.
