Psychometric Statistics • Intrapersonal Skills (ability to understand and communicate their own feelings). • Interpersonal Skills (ability to understand and appreciate the feelings of others). • View to problem solving (belief in their ability to solve problems and taking the time and commitment required to solve them effectively). • Approach to problem solving (ability to gather facts and information about problems, identify alternative solutions, consequential thinking and evaluate the outcome of chosen solutions).
Continued…. • RPS – Rational Problem Solving: carefully and systematically gather facts and info about a problem, generate a variety of alternative solutions. • SIV – Solution Implementation/ Verification: practice their chosen solutions to increase their chances of success • PPO – Positive Problem Orientation: believe that problems are solvable, appraise a problem as a challenge not a threat. • And a significant decrease in AS – Avoidance Style
Candidate Update: • Set up own business – mechanics – father also. • Employment, used Evolution portfolio. • Volunteer at local youth club. • Another course – brick laying. • 2 x work experience at RBFRS. • Became parent – supporting family. • Unaware due to turning 18. • Sentenced – Fire Cadets, no re-offending.
