Welcome to Ms. Zaruba’s 7th Grade Math Class 2013-2014

Welcome to Ms. Zaruba's Math Class! This year, we will not be issuing physical textbooks unless requested by parents, but all resources are available online including Course 2 materials. Homework is assigned every Monday through Thursday, with strict deadlines and penalties for late submissions. Students can make corrections on tests, quizzes, and homework for partial credit. Join us on Edmodo to access notes and assignments. For assistance, tutoring is available, and parents can check grades via HAC. Stay connected and engaged for a successful year!

  1. Welcome to Ms. Zaruba’sMath Class 2013-2014

  2. Textbooks & Resources: • We will not be issuing textbooks this year unless parent requests • Textbooks are available online • Course 2 (7th grade): 2629714-20 • Video instruction: • www.khanacademy.com • www.virtualnerd.com

  3. Homework: Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday (& some weekends) Students are required to show their work on a separate piece of paper.

  4. Late Work: There is a 30 point penalty for late work. The majority of HW is due the next day. Turn in work on time!

  5. Corrections: • All tests can be corrected for half credit. • All HW & quizzes can be corrected to a 70. • Corrections need to be done on a separate piece of paper & attached.The student must show all work, box the answer, and give a reason why the problem was missed.

  6. Deadlines: All corrections, missing work, or late work are due by the Wednesday before the end of the six weeks. All work due for 1st Six Weeks: Wed, Sept., 25th

  7. www.Edmodo.com Each Student login gets one Parent login code. Students & parents can join Edmodo to look at notes, assignments, videos, etc. Edmodo is used quite a bit in 8th grade, so make it a part of your regular routine.
