Material Safety Data Sheets(MSDS) • Transition to SDS – Safety Data Sheets (required by GHS) began in 2012 • Technical bulletins that provide detailed information about the product • Accessible by using the Employee Portal on your computer • Some departments maintain hard copies • The next slide shows you how to access MSDSonline®and how to handle a chemicalspill

Hazardous Material Inventory • The list is maintained by the HazMat Committee Coordinator • Each department/area is responsible for maintaining their own list • The list is verified by the environmental tour process • Missing chemicals/products are to be reported to the HazMat Committee Coordinator

  8. Hazcom Training • Starts at orientation • Continues at the department level and is ongoing as needed
