  7. events In August 2010 a chunk of a glacier from Greenland broke off. This “ice island” was about the size of four Manhattans.

  8. Freak rising sun Usually the sun rises January 13th but this year it rose two days early on January 11th. This event had people worried that the ice sheets melting caused this freak rising.
