The circulatory system is vital for transporting blood throughout the body, with the heart being its central organ consisting of four chambers. This system functions effectively through three types of blood vessels: arteries, veins, and capillaries.   2. The heart is the major organ of the circulatory system.The heart contains 4 chambers.

  3. The circulatory systems job is to circulate blood throughout your body. • It is able to do this job with the help of blood vessels. • You have three types of blood vessels; arteries, veins, and capillaries.

As blood is pumped out of the heart, it travels through arteries, veins, and capillaries. • Arteries are blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart. • Veins are blood vessels that carry blood back to the heart. • Capillaries are tiny blood vessels that connect arteries to veins.
