  2. TEACHER PAGE OBJECTIVE: After reading Sarah Morton’s Day, students will work on vocabulary development. Students will be given words from the story tell what it means in modern day language. PROCEDURE: 1.The teacher will read aloud Sarah Morton’s Day. The students can follow along in the literature set. 2.The teacher will click through the slides to allow for discussion. Students may record their answers in their journals if they wish.

  3. WHAT IS ANOTHER WAY TO SAY…… bedding- mattress, sheets, blankets, pillows conversing- talking fetch- go get good day- hello

  4. WHAT IS ANOTHER WAY TO SAY….. midday- noon out of turn- at the wrong time overgarments- clothes perchance- maybe

  5. WHAT IS ANOTHER WAY TO SAY….. Sabbath- Sunday spring- well or brook with fresh water task- chore or job tend- take care of

  6. WHAT IS ANOTHER WAY TO SAY…. of a sudden- all at once poppet- doll truly- accurately waistcoat- vest or jacket
