  2. Symbolism • 1. Name a symbol from the story • 2. Describe what it represents in your own words • 3. Write text evidence of this representation

  3. Imagery • Write a passage of text that show an example of imagery

  4. Figurative Language • Find 3 DIFFERENT examples of figurative language in the text • Write the passage of figurative language • Label the type (simile, metaphor, etc.) • Describe it’s purpose in the story

  5. Tone/Theme • Tone: write a word to describe the tone of the story • Give text evidence to support that tone • Theme: in your own words write at least two theme sentences from the story
