  3. School Counselor Role Help with academic, social and emotional needs Provide guidance for the future Suggest appropriate resources Listen and Advocate

What makes a successful student Student should be in class, on time, every day Bring materials needed Record assignments daily and keep assignments together Take good notes, review notes nightly to make sure you understand what you wrote down Set up a routine, distraction-free study time and space for every day Turn in every homework assignment! A zero on even one assignment will hurt your average Make an appointment with the teacher for after school help when needed Counselor can give suggestions on study skills and additional resources

Attendance Policy • Loss of credit will happen when: • 11 absences from a semester course • 21 absences from a full year course • Appeal Process • Student’s will have the opportunity to appeal a decision for restoration of loss of credit, related to an academic, attendance or discipline matter.
