  6. Nye Committee- entered WWI because of arms manufacturers • Neutrality Act 1935 made it illegal for Americans to sell arms to any country at war American Neutrality

  7. Spanish Civil War • Francisco Franco: Led the Spanish Civil War which the axis powers supported • “Cash n’ Carry”: U.S. sell materials to countries at war if those countries paid cash & picked up themselves American Neutrality
