Temple Ave, Pomona, CA 91768 • Posting Approval • Archives – club bylaws & officer history • Universal Signers –La’Keisha Beard, Jami Grosser, Sharon Rocacorba & Byron Howlett • Make the effort to seek out your advisor(s) • Allow 72 hours turn-around time • Universal signer will contact the advisor directly to let them know that a universal signer has been requested and to seek the advisor’s approval.  • There will be no automatic universal signing without the waiting period of 72 hours.  Please send a designee to pick up the document after 72 hours at OSLCC Main Office.

What is • My Bronco Activity Record (myBAR) is a program designed to keep track of your club membership(s), leadership role(s), awards earned, employment and involvement on & off campus. • Use your myBAR Summary Report to prepare your resume, apply for internship opportunities, graduate school, awards and scholarships. • It is an essential part of the club registration process, myBAR can also help clubs/orgs: • Track club membership • Keep record of club leadership roles • Communicate with current & past club members • Outreach to students interested in your club or organization

  9. Accessing myBAR • Log in to myBAR using your bronco direct information and select: Organizations

  10. Granting Access • The 2013-2014 president must grant the 2014-2015 president administrative access to the club myBAR page. • Log in to the club page • Select the Roster tab • Choose Manage Roster

  12. myBAR: Continuing Clubs • Find your organization in the directory and select "Register this Organization"

  27. New Clubs/ Organizations In ADDITION to the aforementioned registration steps New Clubs/Organizations must also complete the following items in myBAR: • Proposed By-Laws for approval • Intent to Register Attend a New Club/Organization Workshop

  34. Changing Officers To change advisors, complete and submit a new advisor application form to La’ Keisha Beard Once new officers have met with administration, contact La’ Keisha Beard to complete the update in myBAR: 909-869-5007 ; ldgilford@csupomona.edu

  36. What can you do in myBAR? • Manage membership- add members, contact with perspective members • Communicate with members • Advertise meetings, events and programs on the newsfeed • Archive pictures • Manage permissions for you page

  38. The Role of an Advisor • Attend group meetings and functions • Assist with interpreting campus policies & procedures • Communicate with student leaders • Serve as authorized signer • Ensure that students meet all officer eligibility requirements (GPA & unit load) • Provide advice and guidance: • Calendar planning • Leadership style feedback • Time management • Interpersonal conflict mediation • Using campus resources • Assist with the annual registration process

  39. Communication with Advisor • Organization should: • Include Advisor in communications • Provide contact information of all officers • Provide minutes of all meetings • Provide updates for all events • Invite Advisor to organization’s functions and meetings

  40. Club Membership • Enter your club membership into myBAR by January 23, 2015 failure to so will result in your club/organization’s registration being revoked

  42. Things to Know • Know your by-laws and share them with your membership • Council- be in communication with them and know their by-laws and requirements • Weekly updates- submit information to me by Thursday at 5pm the week before • Club/organization conduct

Reminders • To access ASI Funds and Reserve Rooms you must complete ALL steps in the registration process. • Once your registration is reviewed and approved, you will be notified about your registration status in myBAR. • Be Patient!!! If you do not complete the full process, your club/organization will not be registered. FALL FINAL DEADLINE is September 2, 2014. WINTER FINAL DEADLINE is December 5, 2014.
