  2. LAMBASTE (V) • Attack, usually with words, criticize (someone or something) harshly The girls in the corner were lambasting the girls dress.

  3. The man reached an impasse, while he was driving to work because there was a traffic jam and there was no way out. IMPASSE (n) A situation in which no progress is possible, esp. because of disagreement ; a deadlock

  4. JARGON (N) Slang Mrs. Doodle, was upset with her students because in the writing assignment she assigned, there was a lot of jargon used for an example: “I be doing my work..”

  11. PREEMINENT (adj) Superior, outstanding, distinguished, above the rest Academically Laura was doing a preeminent job in class because she finished all her homework, classwork, and she also participated in all the activities the teacher assigned.

  12. RESURGENCE (N) • Rebirth • The resurgence of Adam was so emotional when he was getting baptized because his parents are so religious.
