Stem-changing verbs. AKA “Boot verbs”. How to conjugate JUGAR. Drop the infinitive ending. The infinitive ending on JUGAR is AR. Now you have the stem JUG. Since this is a stem-changing verb, we must change the U in the stem to UE in all the singular forms and in the 3 rd person plural form.

  2. How to conjugate JUGAR • Drop the infinitive ending. The infinitive ending on JUGAR is AR. • Now you have the stem JUG. • Since this is a stem-changing verb, we must change the U in the stem to UE in all the singular forms and in the 3rd person plural form. • Add the –AR verb endings to match the subject.
