  2. Chapter 1 • Sets the scene. • Describes the camp ground. • Location in relation to the sea. • Introduces main characters. • Basics of characters personalities.

  3. Chapter 2 • Introduces some of the secondary characters. • Goes into more description on the personality of the main characters. • The first argument between Brad and Ape. • Falco is announced leader of the bunkhouse. • Val is brought into the book and his disability is discussed. • Brad’s relationship with his shortly discussed.

  4. Chapter 3 • Ape takes the best bunk in the bunk room • Ape gets into a very heated argument with Brad which turns physical. • Ape calls Falco “Falcon”, just to annoy him. • Cannucia is more thoroughly introduced and his background, as well as other characters. • Falco and Singh try to explain Ape to Brad.

  5. Chapter 4 • Falco chooses their bunkhouse for breakfast duty out of a raffle box. • More tension between Ape and Brad. • Brad argues with Singh and Falco about letting Ape do what he wants. • Falco has a flashback to his Dad crying about his brother late one night.

  6. Chapter 5 • Cannucia almost drowns getting what was supposedly a dead stingray from the beach. • Ape hides the compass from the rest of the bunkhouse which leads them to getting lost, when he knew the way the whole time, which builds tension between him and brad.

  7. Chapter 6 • Gibbo yells at the bunkhouse for a lack of teamwork. • Ape talks back to Gibbo, rudely. • More arguing between the group, especially as usual Ape and Brad.

  8. Chapter 7 • Falco and Singh make Brad promise to ignore Ape. • Ape makes fun of Singh about his weight. • Ape makes fun of Brad and his guitar. • Brad and Falco have a private talk, which leads to the topic of parents which neither boy is open with. • Falco tries to tell Brad about his brother but halfway decides against it. • Another flashback with Falco and Val.

  9. Chapter 8 • Breakfast duty, which Ape doesn't turn up to obviously. • Falco lets them get away with it, which angers Brad. • The high ropes course – the sling has been cut down. • Ape and Brad get into a very physical fight.
