  1. Lighting Design Specification I would like my light to be a decorative interesting light which will be used to create atmospheres in a room. I have decide to aim my lighting product at people aged 10-18. this is because this is the age that kids start getting homework without parents supervising and may use a desk lamp to make sure they can see their work better. This will be made easy to operate because there will be a easy access switch on the cord. The safety requirements should be to make the lead as short as possible to prevent people from tripping up. There should also be something to prevent the user touching the bulb so they don’t touch a hot bulb. This product will be pleasing to the eye and have a interesting design this is because for the target market they need something pleasing to the eye as they are a young generation they wont pick up a dull and basic design for their light. The materials I will use wood and plastic as they are materials easy to craft I will stay away from using glass as it is a really expensive material. The environment this will be in is indoors because this will be used as a desk lamp.
