Questions • Using the Cold War-era as the framework, how did ethnocentrism influence the US’s dealings with the USSR; or how did ethnocentrism influence the USSR’s dealings with the US? • Do you see any lingering threads of Cold War-era thinking in our relationship with Russia and former bloc countries?

Questions • With relationship to the Vietnam war, what do we mean by the phrase “televising the war”? • How did the televising of war change our ideology, policies, or emotions about war? • Think about the media coverage of some recent wars (last 20 years). What has changed about the way the media covers war? What has changed about the way we consume war coverage?
